A new book story, the first chapter of which begins in the heart of Kyiv — at the Golden Gates, in a historic building on Mykola Lysenko Street 2/1. We invite you to meet with your favorite books and read over a cup of coffee.
We tried to create a space in which every detail is full of coziness and where you want to return again and again - for the atmosphere, warmth, communication and books. Take a walk through the morning streets, and then run for coffee and read a few pages of a book. Meet with friends, discuss all the news and leaf through books together. Sit in a coworking space and work surrounded by thousands of book stories that inspire new ideas. Sit down with a book after a busy day, contemplating the evening city from the window. This is a place where we have put our soul, and we hope that you will feel it when you visit us.
What's in our bookstore?
- books, of course! We have selected thousands of publications in all major genres — from detective stories to books on psychology and business. And we are also preparing a unique shelf with books about Kyiv
- coffee shop with drinks and desserts
- vinyl player and good music
- places to meet friends, quiet corners for reading or working, as well as an area for book events
- space in a historic building from 1861 year with a view of the Golden Gate, Yaroslaviv Val and the courtyard of the Pidgorsky house
- We are pet friendly, so come with your pet.
About the chain
The life of any district becomes more fulfilling if there is a bookstore nearby. We dream that every quarter of every Ukrainian city would have its own cozy bookstore-cafe, which would become an integral part of the lives of its residents. As well as reading is being a favorite daily ritual. Your city's bookstore book.ua at Zoloti Vorota in Kyiv is our first step towards making this dream come true. The second bookstore in the Faina Town residential complex has opened its doors for its citizens and nearby Nyvky district. Thus, step by step we plan to open many bookstores-cafes in every district of your city.
Mission
Cultivate a new leisure format — spending time and reading in bookstores-cafes. We want this to be available to Ukrainians not only in big cities, but also in small towns across the country.

Do you have an ideas for a partnership? We will be happy to discuss them! We will be happy to provide the space of book.ua for book presentations and meetings with authors. If you have a book club, come to us with like-minded people to talk about what you have read over coffee and being surrounded by books. We are also open to cooperation with new publishing houses, book sales, and implementation of marketing projects.
